Trump's Granddaughter Gets Professional Advice from Tiger Woods Before LPGA First Appearance

Emerging athlete getting ready for major competition

The rising star has impressive online audience

The young golfer can count on numerous high-profile supporters when she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.

The 18-year-old athlete, who is the granddaughter of Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.

The former president, a passionate golfer, possesses numerous courses worldwide and frequently matches against his granddaughter.

"He's fairly competent. I can't say much but we have tight competitions," she revealed.

Kai explained that Trump, who won't be present, counseled her: "Just stay calm."

"My grandpa practically told me to play and have fun," she added.

"From my perspective, he's simply a normal grandpa. He can't make it this weekend. He's busy with presidential duties, making him quite busy."

Being non-professional, Kai has participated in only three events recently and has position 461 in AJGA rankings.

Yet she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Kai's mother.

"He is the greatest golfer in the world," the young golfer said.

"And he's a superior person. He advised me to play, have fun, following the flow."

Kai will face several most prominent players in professional golf at this tournament, including second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's Charley Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.

Tournament organizers commented that Kai's presence brings golf to wider groups, especially with the next generation.

The young star boasts substantial online presence and recently launched an exclusive apparel and wellness company.

The competition starts at 17:30 GMT.
