The Initial Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Is Still Fighting.

Across the gaming landscape, enthusiasts continue to ring the knell for the Xbox brand. Xbox was recently outsold by a platform few have heard of. Dedicated Xbox communities began covering regarding Sony's platform as a new development. 2025 was an era of significant turmoil for the tech giant's gaming arm. But if we're going solely off what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that Microsoft remains determined to engage players with compelling titles on its premier subscription.

The Current Inclusions

The duo of games that are immediately available at this moment, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, are not the headliners. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass soon that's deserving of attention.

Upcoming Headline Games

Come mid-January, the subscription service will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, a vast exploration title that breaks up the standard Ubisoft formula with a space-faring criminal escapade. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village and its giant Lady Dimitrescu, hailed in past assessments as "the perfect cocktail of frights and fights."

Intriguing Niche Additions

Yet, the less-hyped additions arriving shortly on the service are noteworthy here. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, a fantastic but under-the-radar dungeon crawler offering thrilling gameplay, arrives January 7th — and it merits a playthrough even if you missed out on the first Lost in Random game.

The British post-apocalyptic game from last year could captivate you within just a quarter of an hour.

Atomfall, a game blending infiltration and resource management by the developers behind Sniper Elite, also warrants your attention. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine – Master Crafted Edition to anticipate.

A Solid, Curated Lineup

Ultimately, these titles aren't industry-shaking releases to Game Pass, and they are also not tentpole Microsoft studios games that justify the service in the first place. But Microsoft's additions here are rock solid. There's a good mixture of old games you might have missed and new-ish games that failed to receive the spotlight they warranted upon launch — which makes them perfect candidates to find a new audience on Game Pass.

Hope you're ready to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
