Both suffered hamstring injuries while representing NSW in the Victoria clash in domestic cricket recently
Medical examinations revealed Hazlewood, 34 escaped muscle damage. Abbott, 33, who hasn't played Tests, suffered a "moderate grade" injury
Team captain Cummins is unavailable for the initial match, commencing later this month, so the loss of another established pace bowler such as Hazlewood might have represented a significant setback
The bowler stood doubtful to feature at the Perth match, while Hazlewood will combine Mitchell Starc and Scott Boland forming the fast bowling unit
