Best-selling writer for children and comedian David Walliams has been dropped by his UK book publisher, as confirmed by the firm.
An official for the firm commented: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its recently appointed chief executive, HarperCollins UK has decided not to publish additional books by David Walliams."
Reports indicate that the conclusion was taken subsequent to an review of reports of conduct deemed unsuitable directed at female individuals.
The company did not confirm the specific rationale behind the move, stating: "We do not comment on confidential company decisions."
A Prolific Writing Journey
Walliams ranks among Britain's most best-selling authors for kids, boasting over in excess of 60 million copies worldwide in 55 languages.
The debut children's novel from Walliams, *The Boy in the Dress*, came out under HarperCollins in 2008.
Several of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have found new life as TV movies.
To date, he has released more than 40 books in total, encompassing a festive story titled *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins last autumn.
