British boxer Anthony Joshua Released from Hospital in Lagos Following Tragic Car Crash

Olympic gold medalist Anthony Joshua has left the medical facility, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was caught in a vehicular crash near Lagos on Monday, a tragic incident that took the lives of two of his team members.

Under Observation for Minor Injuries

The boxer had remained in the hospital while healing from his light wounds, his promoter had said on Monday. The Lagos state commissioner for information, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement on social media that Joshua was declared medically stable to “recuperate at home”.

“Joshua and his mother were at the mortuary in Lagos this afternoon to pay their final respects to his two friends who passed away as they were being made ready for the journey back,” the official remarked.

A Tribute to the Fallen

The two men who died were identified as Latif Ayodele, a fitness coach, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. It was also noted that the athlete was heartbroken and deeply emotional over the tragic loss of his two dear friends.”
