Bondi Reveals Probe into Trump Rivals and Epstein Links
On Friday, Pam Bondi appointed Jay Clayton to head an investigation into opponents of the President and their links with Jeffrey Epstein. This move came shortly after the president ordered her to initiate the investigation.
During an announcement, the Attorney General highlighted Jay Clayton as “one of the most capable and trusted prosecutors in the country”. The official remarked, “This case will be addressed with speed and honesty to ensure public transparency.”
This development appears to contradict a recent memorandum from federal authorities which declared that documents related to Epstein lacked grounds for additional investigations. According to the document, investigators “found no proof justifying probes into uncharged individuals”
Trump Calls for Focus on Political Opponents in Epstein Matter
This news comes as increasing pressure from Trump on congressional Republicans to oppose the public disclosure of files concerning Epstein ahead of an upcoming House vote next week. Many Republicans are anticipated to back the disclosure.

On Friday, Trump announced he would direct the DOJ to investigate connections between Epstein and Democratic figures, specifically naming Bill Clinton, Larry Summers and Reid Hoffman. Interestingly, he also described the “Epstein situation” as a “scam”.
